So much about design is subjective. You might think that something looks good, others may disagree, and often there isn't a way to resolve the difference. For years it's been difficult to actually measure just how good (or bad) your website or application is at an objective level, and that's not good. How do you know if your website or application is actually doing all that it can for YOU?
Faced with this challenge we developed as system called GREAT Reviews™️. Yes, we think our design review process is great, but it's actually an acronym that we use to help determine just how good a website or application is:
Goal based - Have you clearly defined the goals that your website or application is trying to accomplish? How effectively is your design helping you to meet those goals?
Responsible - Are you treating your users as equals, ensuring that everyone regardless of ability or device is able to utilize your offerings?
Easy to use - Are the features in your application usable in a way that a novice could navigate them without assistance?
Appealing - How does the application look? Does it follow established design standards to help ensure a positive experience?
Thoughtful - What if a user gets stuck? Is your design there to help them when they need assistance the most?
Utilizing GREAT Reviews allows for an objective view of your offerings and can provide a clear direction on how your website or application can improve. Never before has there been such a clear path to ensuring that your applications are actually working as effectively and efficiently as they can.
